It is a mountain place where population still has horses as the basic mean of transport. Arrival in Tbilisi, whre you will be meet by the representative of Travel Point Agency.

08:00-09:00 (Breakfast time)
After Breakfast drive to the winery so called ‘Pheasant’s Tears’,-covers 28 hectares of Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Shakapito and Tavkveri. Pheasant’s Tears is also home to a vineyard library with 200 grape varieties. Degustation time: 2.00 hours. (Tasting 3 sorts of wine plus Chacha). The second destination is Okro’s Winery in Signagi town, which is focused on production of traditional and organic Qvevri wines. They don’t use chemical treatments, additives or sulphur in the wines. Their primary fermentation starts in Qvevri and finishes in bottle. Degustation time: 2.00 hours. (Tasting 4 sorts of wine plus chacha).
ü 13:00 PM (lunch time at a restaurant, which has stunning views from the top of the old town Signagi to the Caucasian mountains and valley from the terrace).
After lunch drive to an impressing Chateau Mere , due to taste excellent cloister wines there. Here, the group will be divided in two groups in order to make wine degustation. This adventurous tour will be ended by an unforgettable dinner with traditional cuisine in Babaneuri Winery, with hiking trails in the forest & foothills, the vineyard, winery and boutique hotel nestles in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Mountain range. Time duration: 2:00 hours, which Includes, – walking through vineyards, get information about wine producing technology, degustation time: 2 hours & Tasting 3/4 sorts of wines plus Chacha.

After breakfast departure to Tusheti/Omalo, a municipality center of Tusheti Region/Georgia, 1880 m. above sea level. Drive to Omalo via Abano pass (at 2,970 m. 9, 350ft.), the highest drivable mountain pass, which is located in the central Part of the Great Caucasus maintains. (Photo-Stop)
- Distance from Alvani to Omalo is 90 km.
- 13:00-14:00 PM have a lunch on the open air, picnic and enjoy the views of Caucasus Mountains’Glaciers, waterfalls and rare spices of flora.
After lunch continue to drive to Keselo Castle (XVIIIcc),- Visit “the Castle of Keselo”,-a small medieval fortress just above the village of Omalo, constructed during the Mongol invasions in 1230. (Photo Stop). There is a chain of villages and sites of ancient villages runningalong Gometsri Gorge: Dartlo (2000 m), Kvavlo (hiking, – 800m), Chesho, Dano. If the time permits us we will visit the village of Farsma.

Overnight in Omalo Guesthouse
07:00-08:30 AM (Breakfast time)
After breakfast, at first we will meet two specialized horse guides and then by help of them we’ll start our tour by horses. Each person will have their own horse. During this wonderful tour we’ll have the opportunity to visit green-colored alpine Oreti Lake, walking by horse through beautiful pine forest, enjoy alpine meadows and breathtaking views over Tusheti. The lake itself is located in the protected area of Tusheti at about 2650 meters above sea level, at about 9km from the village Omalo.
From the lake we will look at the Caucasus Mountains face to face

After breakfast, visit Shenako, one of the most populated villages in highland Tusheti. The village is overlooked by Mt. Diklo (4285m.) and contains a series of buildings of Georgian folk architecture. (Stop the cars in Shenako). Afterwards, walk to Diklo, neutral territory with Russia starts here; it has an old fortress perched on a spectacular rock promontory. In dense, virgin pine groves, you will follow an ancient sledge road cut through the woods 200 years ago. There you have a great view of a rockypine forest, where some endangered animals-Ounce and wild Goat -are dwelling.

Afterwards, we take our long drive to Tbilisi.
Arrival in Alvani and have dinner here.
Afterwards, we will continue driving towards Tbilisi, reach the Capital by late evening.

Weather: the best season for this holiday is from mid-May till November. The average daytime temperature in May, Sep and Oct, is about +20 C to
+25 C and in summer time +28C to +35C. Some days are spent in the mountainous areas where the weather is variable. The temperature changes from +20C /afternoon/ to below +5C/+10C at night.
Health matters: Everyone should be able to participate in this holiday, without any limitation of age and physical shape. We recommend that each person will carry a small personal first aid kit. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good health before you join the holiday.
Insurance: It is essential that everyone has a medical and personal insurance throughout the period of participating in our tours. The policy should include hospitalization, repatriation, medical expenses and loss of baggage. You always have to carry a copy of your insurance policy with you.
