Kazbegi region attracts a lot of visitors with its diverse and wild nature. The evergreen snow-capped great Caucasus, majestic glaciers, narrow valleys, waterfalls, green slopes and fields embroidered with mountain flowers create magnificent beauty. This is a real paradise for hiking seekers. Even if you’re not an experienced hiker, Kazbegi offers multiple easy day walks and moderate hikes that you can do without any previous hiking experience.
Great elements of this tour is to visit Gergeti Trinity Church, which is one of the most picturesque settlement overlooked by the biggest of all –Mount Kazbegi (5047 m).
Georgian Military Highway,- North from Tbilisi and up through the Caucasus to the Russian border runs the famed Georgian Military Highway, the best route via which we can enjoy the dramatic scenery, crystal-clear air, and indescribable chains of Greater Caucasus Mauntains. Only 11km. away from the Russian border, it is settled on the Georgian Military Road that connects Russia and Georgia.
Apart from, you will explore the ancient capital of Georgia ‘Mtskheta (3rd century BC to the 5th century AD), which used to be the place, where Christianity was proclaimed as the official religion of Georgia in 337. To date, it still remains the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church.

Full-day city tour of Tbilisi with visits to the old Town (5th c AD), Treasury of the Museum of Fine Arts, where the masterpieces of Georgian art are kept; Triumphal Gate (5th-6thcc); Anchiskhati Church (in circa 522-534); Shardeni street and Cotton Row; Souvenir shops; Sioni Cathedral (in circa 575-639); Synagogue (renewed 19th c); Metekhi Temple, 12th c., The Abanotubani district; Narikala fortress (4th c); The Holy Trinity Cathedral;Rustaveli Avenue,-where attractions such as the Tbilisi Opera and ballet Theatre, the Parliament, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes will pay your attention and provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
We explore other sites of the city as well such as: St. David Monastery and Pantheon, Mtatsminda Park 800 m,-a family amusement facility located on the top of Mount Mtatsminda, which offers carrousels, water slides, a roller-coaster and a big ferries wheel, offering a splendid view over the city.
After getting unforgettable impressions during a day, getting thermal water procedure in Sulfur Baths is going to be very relaxing part of the tour. It should be noted that, the balmy sulfur baths have hosted poets, writers, musicians, kings down through the centuries. (Upon request)
Overnight in Tbilisi (B/L/D)
We start our trip by driving to Mtskheta (2nd millennium B.C.), the ancient capital of Georgia. The town and its architectural monuments are included in the World’s Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Jvari Monastery (6th c), Svetitskhoveli (11th c), Souvenir Shops, Ananuri Fortress (16th-17th cc), Drive the sides of the dramatic Aragvi River Valley up to the Jvari Pass (2395 m) and then down into Kazbegi (1700m). Before arrive in Kazbegi, we will pass Gudauri Ski resort (2100 m).
Here you will have opportunity to explore the area and have a detour to the Dariali Canyon.
Overnight in Kazbegi or Gudauri (B/L/D)
We start to explore Kazbegi region, which is one of the most picturesque settlement overlooked by the biggest of all –Mount Kazbegi (5047 m). Walk up to Gergeti Trinity Church (4th c).
After getting unforgettable impressions during a day, we will Leave for Kazbegi Region and drive to Gori, a historical town, mainly known for its huge Fortress (13th c), and as a birthplace of J. Stalin. Visit the J. Stalin’s Museum. Then we cross the city to view the central square of the town, where a big monuments of Stalin still commands the area. Drive to Uplistsikhe cave town dated to 7th c B.C.
Return to Tbilisi
19:00 Farewell dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant accompanied with Georgian folk songs and dances. which are greeting cards of Georgia. Add to this friendliness and easy-going hospitality and you’ll understand why a visit to Georgia is always a pleasure.
