Full-day Tbilisi city tour, the capital of Georgia (5thc. A.D); visit Treasury of the Museum of Fine Arts, Triumphal Gate (5th-6thcc), Anchiskhati Church (in circa 522-534), Shardeni and Cotton streets, Sioni Cathedral (in circa 575-639), Synagogue (renewed 19th c), Souvenir shops, Metekhi Temple, 12th c., The Abanotubani, Narikala 4th c, The Holy Trinity Cathedral, Rustaveli Avenue,-where attractions such as the Tbilisi Opera and ballet Theatre, the Parliament, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes will pay your attention and provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Finally, a show-program of music, dances and songs about Georgian legends and culture. The performance lasting for 90 minutes makes alive the past of Georgia, its traditions, culture, mythos and characteristic feature of the people. During the performance unique Georgian wines and sweets will be served. The performance is without speech, only with songs and dances. It is easily understandable for everyone.
After getting unforgettable impressions during a day, getting thermal water procedure in Sulfur Baths is going to be very relaxing part of the tour. It should be noted that, the balmy sulfur baths have hosted poets, writers, musicians, kings down through the centuries. (On Request)

Overnight in Tbilisi (B/-/D)
We start our trip by driving to Mtskheta (2nd millennium B.C.), the ancient capital of Georgia. The town and its architectural monuments are included in the World’s Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Jvari Monastery (6th c), Svetitskhoveli (11th c), – The unique murals of saints and Georgian monarchs are inside the main Cathedral. Souvenir Shops, Ananuri Fortress (16th-17th cc). Drive the sides of the dramatic Aragvi River Valley up to the Jvari Pass (2395 m) and then down into Kazbegi (1700m). Kakzbegi is a picturesque settlement overlooked by the biggest of all –Mount Kazbegi (5047 m). Walk up to Gergeti Trinity Church (4th c), Gudauri Ski resort (2100 m)

Drive to Gori, a historical town. Optional visit Gori Fortress a medieval citadel (13th c) and J. Stalin’s Museum. Drive to Uplistsikhe cave town dated to 7th c B.C. It contains various structures dating from the 2nd millennium B.C to Late Middle Ages. Drive to Borjomi. Have a stop to taste Borjomi mineral water. Afterwards drive to Akhaltsikhe. Visit Rabati, old town with its multicultural architecture, is well worthwhile. The Rabati also has a Synagogue, an Armenian and a Catholic Churches.

Overnight in Akhaltsikhe (B/-/D)
Drive to Vardzia, a rock-hewn complex (12th-13th cc), founded during the reign of Giorgi III and Queen Tamar. This wonderful place had a significant role in political, cultural, educational and spiritual life of the country. Drive to Kutaisi, dated back to the Argonauts times (13th-12th cc B.C), was the capital of old Colchida and later of Western Georgia. Visit Bagrati Cathedral (11th c), and Gelati Monastery, founded by the most famous Georgian king David the IV, the builder (1073-1125). The unique murals of saints and Georgian monarchs are inside the main Virgin Cathedral. These sites are included in the World’s Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

A trip to Zugdidi. Visit Dadiani Palace. The representatives of Dadiani Dynasty were acquainted with world history, culture latest technical achievements. The palace keeps 4100 museum objects: Mother of God Holy Vesture, the icon of Queen Tamar of Georgia, Manuscripts from 13th -14th cc, miniatures, memorial relics of Dadiani dynasty, objects connected to emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte-brought to the palace by the husband of David Dadian’s daughter, prince Ashille Muratt, grandson of Napoleon’s sister, Carolina. It’s time to get ready for the most exciting part of the trip-a journey to Svaneti, the region of the highest mountains and glaciers and the most abiding ancient traditions. Take some snacks for the long road, we will stop for lunch before arrival in Mestia.

Drive to Ushguli 2200 m., the highest populated point of Europe. Visit Laghami St. George’s Church (7th-12th cc) and Svan Dwelling Complex, The church of Saint George in Nakipari (1120 A.D.), Ethnographic Museums of Ushguli. Ushguli village is considered to be the highest settled place in Europe (2200 m. above sea level).

Overnight in Mestia at a private guesthouse (B/-/D)
After breakfast visit latali and Lenjeri single-nave basilicas of the 9th-14th cc. Drive to Batumi. Have a free time in Batumi to take a walk across the beach in a famous Batumi boulevard.
Dish of the day: „Atcharuli Khatchapuri”.
Overnight in Batumi hotel (B/-/D)
Have free morning in Batumi. 12:00 check out from the hotel and drive to Batumi Botanical Garden. Return to Tbilisi.
19:00 Leaving Party at the National Restaurant with the Georgian folk songs and dances, which are greeting cards of Georgia. Add to this friendliness and easy-going hospitality and you’ll understand why a visit to Georgia is always a pleasure. Be prepared…and remember the best response to a toast is the word “Gaumarjos!” which translated as “to our Victory!”
